Oven Fried Buffalo Shrimp with Dip

Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 cup plain dry breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tbs plus 3 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup canola oil
24 shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails left on
1/4 cup blue cheese dressing
1/4 cup sour cream
crumbled blue cheese
cherry tomatoes and hearts of celery


Method

HEAT OVEN TO 450°. In bowl, combine first 5 ingredients. In another bowl, beat eggs with 1 tbs plus 2 tsp Tabasco. Coat jelly roll pan with oil. Dip shrimp into egg mixture, then roll in breadcrumb mixture. Place on pan. Bake until golden, turning once, 5 min. per side. Combine dressing, sour cream and remaining Tabasco, stir in crumbled blue cheese. SERVE BLUE CHEESE DIP WITH SHRIMP, CHERRY TOMATOES AND HEARTS OF CELERY.
