Oven Carmel Corn

Ingredients

.33 c. unpopped popcorn (12 c. popped)
1 c. brown sugar
.5 c. butter
.25 c. light corn syrup
.5 tsp. salt
.5 tsp. baking soda

Method

1.Pop popcorn
2.Preheat oven to 200/100
3.Divide popped popcorn between two greased baking sheets (you can also line it with wax paper)
4.Heat sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt over a low heat. STIR CONSTANTLY until it is bubbly (boil).
5.Once it starts to get bubbly, keep it going for 5 minutes.
6.Remove from heat, after 5 minutes, and add in baking soda and stir. It should get foamy…expand in size.
7.Add the foamy mixture over the top of the unpopped popcorn and cover as much as you can.
8.Place in oven for one hour stirring every 15 minutes.
9.After one hour, serve.
