Homemade Fudge

This fudge is wonderful around the holidays. Plus, it's easy. My friends and family always ask for it at Christmas.

Cooking time:

Ingredients

4 cups sugar
1 - 14 1/2 oz. can Evaporated Milk (about 1 2/3 cups)
1 - 12 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate morsels
1 pint marshmallow creme
1 cup nuts (optional)
1 ts. vanilla

Method

Butter sides of a large saucepan. In it, combine sugar, milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat to soft-ball stage (236 degrees) stiring frequently.

Remove from heat; add chocolate, marshmallow cream, vanilla, and nuts. Beat until the chocolate is melted and blended.

Pour into a buttered 8x8 cakepan. Allow to cool and slice into squares.
