Pesto

Dietary guidance: v 

Ingredients

1 bundle Basil leaves (about 2 cups?); or a combo of basil/parsley or some people use part cilantro which I've never tried
Parmesean cheese , 1/4 cup-ish
Walnut, pine nuts, almonds or probably any nut would work (well, not so much peanuts!)--about 1/4 Cup
Olive oil--about 1/4 - 1/2 Cup
a few good dashes of sea salt
2 cloves garlic, run through a press

Method

Put all this crap in a food prcesssor until it has a consitancy that you like ( i wait till it's thick and add some oil to make it spreadable)

Here's the thing: It's totally your call. When I'm super broke and want to make it, I JUST USE the basil, olive oil, garlic and salt. It's good too. Heck, just the basil and olive oil combo is good. I often go light on the cheese and add more nuts. I even used pumpkin seeds once. Once you spread it on the pizza or bake it with veggies, it all tastes good!
