2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 Cup Margarine, Cube
1 Large Egg Beaten
2 Medium Ripe Bananas
1/2 cup caramel topping
(You may also use cherry or apple pie filling, if using apple add a little brown sugar and cinnamon to the filling. Also great with pears, just use your imagination.)
Preheat Oven to 375 F. Grease 9x13 baking dish.
Combine flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl, cut in margarine with a pastry blender, it should resemble oatmeal, slowly add egg stirring mixture with a fork until crumbly. Pat 1/2 of the mixture into an ungreased 9x13 BAKING PAN.
Pour fruit mixture over crust, distribute evenly. Sprinkle remaining crust over filling, pat gently. Bake for 35 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool, then cut into bars.
