Cheeseburger Pie

A pie made with ground beef & cheese

Serves: 6
Difficulty: Easy - for beginners

Ingredients

(Crust)
2 C Flour
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Sugar
½ tsp Salt
⅔ C Milk
⅓ C Oil

(Filler)
1 Lb Ground Beef
½ C Chopped Onion
2 Tbsp Ketchup
¾ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Pepper
398ml Can diced tomato’s drained
½ tsp sugar
1 C Grated Cheese

Method

Crust:
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl & make a well in center
2. Add milk & oil to well
4. Stir until just moistened
5. Roll into ball
6. Press into bottom & up sides of greased 9 inch pie plate

Filler:
1. Brown beef & onion – Drain
2. Add ketchup, salt & pepper – Stir & cool
3. Spread beef mixture evenly in crust
4. Combine tomato’s & sugar in small bowl & spoon over beef
5. Sprinkle with cheese
6. Bake 45 min until crust is golden & cheese is melted
7. Cut into 6 wedges
