1- 16 oz. can chick peas, reserving 1/4 cup of the liquid
3-4 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. tahini sesame paste
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
2 tblsp. olive oil
Garnish: olive oil, chopped parsley, cumin
1. Pour contents of can into food processor(reserving 1/4 c. liquid). Blend at least 10 minutes until creamed.
2. Mash the garlic with the salt then add with remaining ingredients to the processor. Blend another 5 minutes. If mixture is too thick, add some of the reserved liquid.
3. Pour into a shallow bowl, sprinkle with olive oil, cumin, and parsley. Refrigerate.
