Seared Beef

If you like your steak rare to medium rare you'll love this dish, plus the flavours just dance on your tongue

Ingredients

Sirloin Steak

INGREDIENTS FOR THE MARINADE
Black Pepper
Kecap Manis (dark soya sauce, sugar, garlic, lemongrass and star anise if cannot find)

INGREDIENTS FOR DIPPING SAUCE
1 tbs Chilli Powder
3 tbs Fish Sauce
1/2 LimeJuice
2 bulb Diced Shallot
Handful Coriander

Method

1. Marinate the beef for about an 30mins to and hour (overnight is always best)
2. In the mean time prepare the dipping sauce
3. Sear the beef for two minutes on each side in a very hot pan
4. Cut the beef into small slices (think sashimi)

Serve with dipping sauce
