Tomato & Vodka Steak Sauce

Submitted by: Susan Shurtliff
Ripped off from Rachael Ray. She calls it "bloody mary steak sauce" - I don't think it tastes like a bloody mary but it's still pretty good. You can adjust the hot sauce & horseradish to taste - I like it a little spicey.

Ingredients

1/2 onion (or 1 small) diced
1/2 cup good vodka
1 cup canned tomato sauce
2 tbsp worcester sauce
2 tbsp horseradish sauce
1 tsp tabasco
salt & good dose of pepper
canola or other "light flavored" oil

Method

Heat oil and add onion, cook until just translucent. Add vodka and reduce by half. Add tomato sauce, worcester, horseradish and hot sauce. Cook until it coats the back of a spoon. Season and serve hot.
