Bring a half-gallon fresh cold water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat.
Add all tea bags. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes ONLY.
Remove tea bags from steeped tea and discard - do NOT squeeze tea bags (squeezing the bags makes the tea bitter).
Add sugar and stir to dissolve.
Add a combination of ice and cold water to make a gallon of tea. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before serving. Serve over ice.
Makes 1 gallon.
