Never linked masa to corn chips until I heard it on NPR.

Serves: 4-6
Difficulty: Easy - for beginners

Cooking time:

Dietary guidance: v v

2 cups of corn masa (like for making tortillas)
seasoning (salt, etc.)
vegetable oil for frying

Heat ~2 inches of oil in a saucepan on medium heat. In a medium bowl mix maseca, water, and favorite seasoning (add some salt at least). Add enough water to get a thick but slightly sticky consistency (think cookie dough). Place in a cookie press with a flat 1 inch sheet tip. Extrude sheets and cut into 1inch lengths. Fry until golden brown and drain on paper towels.
