In a large mixing bowl mix butter, molasses, sugar & boiling water.
Add the spices & the baking soda; stir.
Add in flour & raisins. Mix until well blended.
Cover with plastic wrap & chill in fridge for 20 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface & cut into circles--cookie cutters or i've used a medium width glass, even heart shaped cookie cutter.
Bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes.
