Crescent Roll Lasagna

A lasagna casserole with crescent rolls instead of lasagna noodles.

Ingredients

SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
1/2 pound pork sausage
1 pound hamburger
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1-6 oz. tomato paste
1/2 T parsley flakes
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
CHEESE MIXTURE:
1-cup cottage cheese
1/4-cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg, slightly beaten
OTHER:
2-cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tubes crescent rolls
milk

Method

Combine sauce ingredients in frying pan, and simmer. Meanwhile, spread one tube of crescent rolls into bottom of 9 x 13" pan, pinching seams to form a crust. Combine cheese mixture ingredients. Spread sauce onto crescent roll crust, followed by the cheese mixture, and mozzarella. Top with remaining tube of crescent rolls. Brush top crust with milk. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
