Original Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

6 oz semisweet chocolate chips
1 pint heavy cream
whipped cream flavoured with vanilla extract
pinch cinnamon

Method

1. Melt chocolate in the top pan of a double broiler over hot water. Stir in the cream slowly. Heat until the cream is hot stirring constantly. Add the cinnamon and serve in mugs topped with whipped cream.

***Variations***
For mint flavoured chocolate, add a candy cane to each cup before pouring in the hot chocolate.

For a less rich drink, use half and half cream, or plain milk in place of the heavy cream.
