Best-ever burgers

A great home made burger recipe

Ingredients

750g minced beef
1 red onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, finely chopped
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
5 sundried tomatoes, chopped
1 egg yolk, whisked
2 tbsp flat leaf parsley, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
salt and pepper

Method

Simply mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Divide the mixture into four and shape into 10cm-wide discs - you can do this by hand or with a metal pastry cutter.

Dry-fry the burgers in a non-stick frying pan on a high heat for a few seconds on each side (this seals in moisture), then transfer to a preheated oven at 170ºC and bake for five to eight minutes, depending on how well done you want them.
