1. Steep sultanas and sugar overnight in cold tea in a bowl
2. Add grated apple
3. Beat egg and add to mixture
4. Mix together flour, baking powder, spice and salt; sieve this into the mixture
5. Thoroughly mix all together; put in a bowl lined with greaseproof paper
6. Put in a preheated oven (reg. 3) for 1 ¾ hours on shelf 4
7. Serve with Kerrygold Irish butter!
