The BEST Apple Crumble

Traditional English apple crumble

Ingredients

6-8 apples (cooking or Granny Smith) OR Pre-cooked tinned apples.
12oz plain flour
6oz unsalted butter or marg
6oz white sugar (table or caster)
ground cinnamon

Method

1)Sift flour into a bowl, add the butter or marg and rub in (using fingers literaly rub the butter into the flour) untill mixture looks like breadcrumbs and there are no lumps of butter left.
2)Add the sugar, mix in with fingers.
3) Peal and core the apples , cut into quarter chunks and place in a deep set bowl (16inch or there abouts)
4)Sprinkle the cinnamon on the apples and about 2 tablespoons of sugar
5)Put the crumble mix on top making sure it covers all the apples.
6)Put in the oven on 200 C (400F) for about 45 mins or untill top is golden.
7)Take out and eat with vanilla ice cream or custard
