Get yout bacon cooking on low.
Once it gets going a little starting adding some of your maple syrup and turn the temp. down even lower.
Keep adding the syrup a little at a time while the bacon is cooking.
Once in a while drain excess liquid from the pan. This is bacon fat as well as water that boils out off the syrup. Do not drink it as tempting as it may be.
The key is to cook it slowly. You can NOT rush perfection.
