great drink for the cooler months - works great in the crock pot!

Ingredients

2 bottles full-bodied red wine
3 cups black currant juice
10 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
20 cardamom seeds, cracked
2 oz dried orange peel
½ bottle (375ml) vodka
1 cup strong tea
1 cup sugar
1 cup blanched slivered almonds
1 cup raisins

Method

1. In a large saucepan, combine wine, juice, spices and peel. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
2. Add vodka and tea. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

Place a few almonds and raisins in each glass and fill with Glögg.

serve warm
