
This is a simple and tasty tomato sauce that can be used with any pasta
Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Ingredients
1 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
1 stalk celery diced
1 onion diced
1 carrot diced
1 clove fresh garlic peeled
extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Method
Heat the olive oil in a pan
Add the diced onions and stir
Add the garlic and stir. Do not burn the garlic or it will become very bitter.
Add the carrots and celery and stir
add some salt to the vegerables
add the tomato
add a little more alt and some pepper
allow to simmer for one hour or more until the flavors combine
