Birdseed Bars

Ingredients

1 cup dessicated coconut
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup unsalted cashew nut pieces
1/2 cup seaseme seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
3/4 MILO
1/2 cup liquid honey
1/4 cup raw sugar
125g low fat margarine

Method

1) Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Lightly spray a 27cmx18cm baking tin
2) COmbine coconut, rolled oats, nuts, seeds, and MILO in a large bowl
3) Place honey, raw sugar and margarine in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil stirring. Simmer 5mins, stirring. Add to dry ingredients and mix well
4) Press the mixture into the baking tin. Bake in preheated oven for 18-20mins until the top is golden brown
5) Cool and cut into bars. Store in an airtight container
