Green Beans and Tomatoes

The red and green vegetables make this a festive addition to the Christmas meal

Ingredients

1 lb of fresh green beans
a quart of cherry tomatoes (or grape tomatoes)
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter or margarine

Method

Steam green beans until tender or desired crispness.
In a small saute pan melt butter/margarine and add olive oil.
Add onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add whole cherry tomatoes and saute until the tomatoes "pop" or are tender. Add to warm, steamed green beans and toss.
Serve immediately.
