Savannah Low Country Boil

Ingredients

Three pounds uncooked medium shrimp in the shell, washed

Two pounds smoked sausage links, cut to one- to two-inch lengths

Eight half-cobs of frozen corn

One pound small red potatoes

Old Bay seafood seasoning

Salt

Ingredient proportions may be varied to your preference.

Method

Fill large pot 1/3 full of water.

Add 3 oz. Bag Old Bay One Step Seasoning (or Old Bay seasoning from can, to taste)

Add small amount of salt to taste (optional; Old Bay is salty).

Bring to a vigorous boil.

Add red potatoes and return to a boil.

Wait 10 minutes. Add sausage, return to a boil.

Wait 10 minutes. Add corn-on-the-cob, return to a boil.

Wait 10 minutes. Add shrimp, return to a boil.

Cook until shrimp become orange in color and float to the top.

Strain off water and serve or dip out with slotted spoon.

Servings vary according to portions of ingredients.
