Aunt Joan's Butter Tarts

Ingredients

1 cup of raisins or 1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
2 tbsp margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 or 2 tbsp corn syrup
1 egg well beaten
1 tsp vanilla

Method

Pour boiling water over raisins and let stand for 10 minutes
Then drain immediately
Add butter, sugar, egg and vanilla
Mix well
Pour into tart shells (about 1 dozen)
Bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes
