Gingerbread cake

The recipe of gingerbread given by my grandma from France

Ingredients

Flour 300g
Butter 60g
Brown sugar 150g
Honey 150g
Salt 1 touch
Baking soda 1 small spoon
Powdered Anise 1 small spoon
Cinnamon 1 small spoon
Yeast 1 small spoon
1 egg
Milk 125mL

Method

Infuse the anise in the warmed milk and then add the cinnamon. Let it cool down.
Let the butter, the honey and the sugar slowly melt using a bain marie (double boiler). Let it cool down.
Mix the yeast, the baking soda and the salt with the flour. Add all the ingredients together, Mix well to obtain a smooth dough. Put in the mould and let it bake 10 minutes at 355F and then 50 minutes at 320F.
Let it cool down 20 min and you can enjoy!
