Ingredients

1 lb. stewing beef, cut small (optional)
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. chilli powder
4 cloves garlic
fresh ground pepper
4 lg. potatoes, rough cut
4 lg. carrots, rough cut
1/2 a turnip, rough cut
2 parsnips, rough cut
1 lg. onion sliced
1/2 greenpepper sliced
1 can of dieced tomatoes
1 c. beer or water

Method

I usually get this all ready the night before and pop it in the fridge.
In a glass bowl add meat, brown sugar, cinnamon, chilli powder, garlic & fresh ground pepper. Cover and let marinate over night.
Prepare all vegatables, can of tomatoes & beer or water and put into crock of slow cooker (if it is removable, if not use a lg. bowl).
In the morning, get vegtables put into slow cooker. Quickly brown the beef (if desiered) and add to slow cooker. Cover and cook on high or low depending on what time frame is available.

* NOTE: This recipie is very good with out the beef... I have made it as a vegetarian dish several times. Just remeber to still add the brown sugar, cinnamon, chilli powder, garlic & fresh ground pepper.
