8 Italian Sausages
1/2 cup white cooking wine
several tablespoons of water
2 stalks of celery, chopped
2 shallots, finely diced
fresh snipped herbs including marjoram, rosemary, mint, basil, parsley, sage, thyme and tarragon
Use as many or few herbs as desired. Fresh herbs are best but frozen or dried herbs can be used for some. I found that adding a few fresh and a few dried worked fine.
If sausages are frozen, thaw them. Place in a pot and cook on medium heat with a few tablespoons of water (to prevent burning). Add herbs, shallot and celery and cook for a few minutes to wilt the herbs. Add the white cooking wine and allow to cook down, about 10 minutes.
