Aunt Jayne's Hodge Podge

only make with fresh, in season veggies!

Serves: 8

Preparation time:

Ingredients

New carrots, peas, yellow beans, and baby potatoes
1/2 pound bacon, diced
1 large onion
1 pint half and half
1/2 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup butter, melted

Method

clean and chop veggies, cook seperately (except peas and beans) until tender-crisp.
fry bacon, then dice onion and fry in bacon fat.
dump all veggies in large pot.
heat creams & butter and pour over veggies, mixing gently
add s&p to taste.
simmer 20 mins.
