Bogan Josh

An easy rogan josh..with a flanno and roo meat instead

1 red flanno
500-700 grams of roo (cubed like 3cm)
2 tsp salt
3 tsp garam masala
2 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 onions chopped up little
tin o chopped tomatoes
3 bits o ginger (about 2cm bits..but remember to pick the buggers out - although youll never find them..)
couple of dollops of plain natural yoghurt
liiitle bit of water
2 tbsp oil

and i like a couple of potatoes in there (cubed) because im a pauper


1. put on said flanno

2.heat up pan with oil till its raging hot

3. fry onion, garlic, ginger and fry for a bit

4. add all the ground spices and keep frying (remember not to breath or open your eyes) until its all dryish

5. add the potatoes and the poor kangaroo and keep frying till he/she is nicely browned (about 5 min...i get paranoid after 3).

6. add the tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes until its boiling again

7. add the yoghurt and stir till boiling again

8. turn the heat waaaay down and put the lid on to simmer and do something else for as long as humanly possible while the house smells so good (an hour and a half is good). remember to stir every now and then

9. it'll get thicker eventaully, all the roo should be falling apart, and the whole dish will go a fully red colour (compare with flanno)

10. put in coriander if u got any, 5 min before u serve

11. oh yeah...youll have to go back to the shop and get some rice to serve it on
