In a large bowl mix oats and coconut.
In a heavy sauce pan bring to a boil: sugar, milk, cocoa, margarine, and vanilla, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
Once it reaches a rolling boil, remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Once cooled off, mix into oat/coconut mixture.
Using a tablespoon, drop portions onto a baking sheet that is lined with wax paper.
Place sheets in fridge or freezer to harden.
Preferable if left for a few hours or even over night.
