Serves: 6 servings
1/2 cup granulated sugar
juice of 7 oranges (about 2 1/3 cups)
6 tbsp white tequila
6 slices lime
1. In a bowl, stir together 1 1/4 cups water, sugar, orange juice and tequila until sugar is dissolved.
2. Pour into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan and freeze for about 1 hour or until ice forms at the edges of the pan.
3. Using a fork, break up ice and stir to distribute frozen portions evenly. Freeze for 30 minutes or until solid.
4. Using a fork, stir to break up ice crystals. Continue freezing, stirring the mixture every 20 minutes, until slushy. Garnish with lime slices.
