Queso Taco Casserole with Corn

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 bottle 8 oz taco sauce
3/4 cup water
4 oz can diced green chilies
12 count pkg corn taco shells, broken
1 oz pkg taco seasoning
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


HEAT OVEN TO 375°. Grease baking dish. Cook beef and onion in skillet until beef is browned. Drain. Stir in taco sauce, water, chilies, and seasoning mix, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cook 4 min. Layer half of broken shells on bottom of baking dish. Cover with half of meat mixture, sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Bake 25 min. or until bubbly and cheese is melted. GARNISH WITH CHOPPED TOMATOES, SLICED GREEN ONIONS AND SOUR CREAM.*
