Serves: 1 loaf


4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 medium-sized apple, mashed
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 cups of any type of Caramilk chocolate, broken into pieces (add extra if desired)
1/4 cup pecan nuts, chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. sugar


1. Preheat oven to 350F. Mix butter, sugar, and egg together in a bowl. Stir in mashed bananas. Add flour, cinnamon and then milk. Stir through chocolate.

2. Pour into a greased and lined loaf pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in centre comes out cleanly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then cool in pan for 10 minutes before taking out to cool completely.
