Remove wrapper and wrap in 4 layers of tin foil, shinny side in. Wrap in mechanic's wire and create two loops on the bundled ham !
Suspend ham from tree over campfire. Use loops to rotate ham about every half hour. Careful as the wire remains hot for a few min.
When juice begins to bubble from foil, rotate....repeat for about 5 to 7 hours depending on the size.
The Ham is done when juice stops dripping and or time has passed. Do not suspend to low as you will singe or burn the ham.
Because its a "Pinata" ham, leave suspended over fire to keep it hot. This is a favorite at H.B.B because you can bash open an area while drunk in the middle of the night and still enjoy a tasty meal.
Not recommended for winter camping !
