Serves: 25 ~ 2 kg (50-55 sticks)
1/2 cup of soya sauce
Whole crushed garlic (10 cloves)
1 cup of ketchup
4 tablespoons of lemon juice (or vinegar)
1 1/4 cup of brown sugar
2 litre of 7-up/ Sprite
Pork butt steak - cut off excess fat (not all fat - its better for you - or at least adds to the flavour), cut pork to cube size to fit on skewer stick.
I used Pork Shoulder Blade Steak (Bone in).
You can use Pork Butt Steak though - depending on your preference.
Mix all the ingredients in a large container together. Add pork, marinate for 24-48 hours, seal container & refrigerate.
NOTE: Soak skewer sticks in water for 1 day.
BBQ approximately 10 minutes each side (check once in a while) or until it turns golden brown. BBQ at a low temp to prevent burning.
