Dietary guidance: v
5 cups water
pinch of salt
1 cup stone ground yellow grits (NOT INSTANT)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, grated
1/8 tsp. white pepper
1 1/2 tsp. butter
1 cup fresh corn kernels (about 2 ears)
1/4 cup green onions
1. Bring water and salt to boil in a large saucepan. Stir in grits. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes until thick and tender.
2. Wrap both ears of corn in plastic wrap and heat on high in the microwave for 7 minutes. Remove plastic and cut off kernels when corn is cool enough to handle.
3. When grits are finished cooking; remove from heat and stir in butter, cheeses, and white pepper. Add corn and onions stirring well.
