Filo dough with cinamon apple filling!

This is my own version of traditional Apple Strudel. My husband absolutely loves it!

8 filo sheets, 1 egg white, powdered suger, 1/4 cup melted butter
Filling: 4 apples, 1 1/2 cup suger, 1 1/2 tea spoon vanilla extract, 1/4 stick of butter


Start out peeling and slicing apples. Toss them with suger, vanilla and cinamon. Grease a pan or a skillet with butter on medium heat, put the apple-suger mixture in, stir until the suger melts and carmalizes apples to a nice golden brown color. Once apples are nice and tender, take the mixture off the heat and set aside.
Now brush your baking pan with melted butter, place filo sheet on top, brush the top with butter, reapeat x4. Place apple mixture on top of 4 layers of filo sheet. Now cover the mixture with more filo sheets. Take the egg white, brush it on top, sprinkle some suger. Bake in a preheated 375 F oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool. Once cooled, slice and enjoy with scoop of vanilla icecream!
