Strawberry Cobbler

Just like the name says, a classic strawberry cobbler.

Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 35 min @ 350°

Serves: 6


2 quarts (6 cups) strawberries hulled and halved
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbsp quick-cook tapioca
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Cobbler Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
5 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
6 tbsp milk
3 tbsp sour cream
3 tbsp butter, melted


Pre heat oven to 350°

In large bowl, mix together strawberries, sugar, orange juice, tapioca, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spoon into 6-cup oval baking dish (doesn't HAVE to be oval)

Cobbler Topping:
In medium bowl, whisk together flour, 4 tbsp sugar, the baking soda and salt. Stir in milk, sour cream and butter until smooth.

Dollop topping over fruit. Sprinkle remaining tablespoon of sugar over topping.

Bake at 350° until filling is bubbly and to is lightly golden (35-40 min). Serve warm or at room temp.
