2 One-crust pie shells -- baked blind
2 dozen tart shells-- baked blind
1 cp Sugar
½ tsp ea. Cinnamon & Ginger
½ cp Grape Juice *
4 tbsps Cornstarch
8 cps Strawberries -- washed, hulled and quartered
*You can substitute red wine.
Put the strawberries in a sauce pan with the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and half the grape juice. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Bring to a boil. Mix the cornstarch with the remaining juice until it is fully dissolved.
Pour the cornstarch mixture into the strawberries and stir well until thickened. Remove from the heat.
Fill cooled shells and chill until firm.
