Apple Tiramisu

A variation on the basic tiramisu. You can substitute the apples with any fruit of your choice.

Ingredients

1 package ladies fingers
1 250ml jar apple sauce
Eier Liquer (can be substituted with another non-specific flavoured creamy liquer)
500 g Mascarpone
250 g whipping cream
75 g white sugar
1 package (25g) vanilla sugar (can be made by combining white sugar and vanilla sticks)
1 package cinnamon

Method

1. cover bottom of casserole dish with half ladies fingers
2. drizzle with liquer
3. spread over with half the jar applesauce
4. whip cream together with vanilla sugar until stiff
5. mix white sugar together with mascarpone
6. mix mascarpone and whipped cream together
7. spread about half mixture over the applesauce
8. repeat

Store over night in the fridge for best results and sprinkle cinammon sugar over the top before serving
