Pork Chops and Salsa

Submitted by:
This dish is easy to make in 20 minutes and is delicious on a cold rainy night. It is great for casual company too.

Preparation time: 10 min
Cooking time: 25 min

Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
Serves: 4

1 tablespoon of oil
4 boneless pork chops
1 1/2 cups of salsa or picante sauce (I like medium for this dish but anything works)
1 large apple
2 tablespoons of brown sugar

1) Heat oil in a skillet. Place pork chops in skillet and brown on both sides, about 2 minutes a side.
2) While meat is cooking, core the apple and dice into cubes.
3) Pour salsa and apples into skillet. Stir gently and bring to a boil. Add brown sugar and stir again.
4) Turn down heat to low, cover skillet and let simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
