Place 17 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies in a plastic baggies and roll with rolling pin to crush. Add 5 Tablespoons melted butter/margarine to the crushed cookies. Pat into a 9x13â€ cake pan. Put in freezer for 10 minutes.
Ice Cream Layer:
Cut your favorite flavor ice cream (should be a box) into slices and carefully layer onto the cookie crust.
Put into freezer and freeze until firm.
Chocolate Sauce Layer:
In a medium saucepan combine:
¼ cup butter/margarine, 1 (5.33 oz) can evaporated milk, 1 cup powdered sugar and
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (NEVER USE MILK CHOCOLATE!)
Cook over low heat until melted. Place sauce in bowl and place in refrigerator and stir every once in awhile. Spread sauce over frozen ice cream layer. Freeze until sauce is firm.
Cool Whip Layer:
Spread a carton of cool whip over the frozen chocolate sauce layer. Peel candy bar with potato peeler over the cool whip or add candies of your choice. Put in freezer for 3-4 hours.
Before cutting, let stand 10 minutes to make cutting easier.
