1 c walnuts
2 tbs butter
leftover sliced challah 8 slices
dollop of evaporated milk (not the sweetened stuff)
heat forman grill on high.
in a skillet melt butter on medium, add walnuts and sauté 3 minutes or so. add dollop of maple syrup and toss until coated.
mix together egg batter ingredients. soak each slice of bread and place on a plate.
spray grill with oil. put 4 slices of bread on grill, close and sear for a half minute. place the maple walnuts on 2 slices, cover with the other two slices and cook an additional minute.
serve with or without more maple syrup.
