So Good Chili

I once had this chili in a pub in the Okangogan. I've tried for 10 years to recreate it. Here is the closest I've come. It is pretty good I must say.

Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking time: 1 hr.

Serves: 4


1 kg of chuck steak cut into 1 inch pieces
1 can kidney beans
1 can crush tomatoes
1 red onion chopped
1 cup of beef stock
1 can of dark beer
2 tbsp flour

1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cayanne
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
3 cloves crush garlic
3 tbsp chili powder


Heat oil in a pan. Roll the beef in the flour and brown. Add spices. Fry until fragrant. Add tomatoes, beans, dark beer and beef stock. Simmer for 30 minutes.
