Lamb Chop Recipe

Lamb chops in tangy tomato sauce. For people like myself who would prefer not to eat mint sauce. This recipe has been a favorite in my house for years.

Cooking time: 1 hour

Serves: 4


* 6 loin lamb chops
* 4 tablespoons butter
* salt and pepper
* 1 cup water
* 2 cups tomato sauce
* 1/2 cup ketchup
* 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano


Melt butter in a heavy skillet; brown lamb chops.
Place chops in a baking dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Pour 1/2 cup water into the skillet and stir to loosen browned bits.
Add remaining ingredients to skillet then pour over the lamb chops.
Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
