1 lb. ground beef
6 slices of bacon: diced
1/4 cup onion; chopped
2 - 16 oz cans of baked beans: reserve liquid *
1 - 15 oz can of lima or butter beans; drained
1 - 15 oz can of kidney beans; drained
1/4 cup molasses
3/4 cup brown sugar; firmly packed
1/4 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons mustard
* Drain juice from baked beans and reserve to use as needed throughout cooking.
Brown ground beef, bacon and onion together, then add these and all the other remaining ingredients in a slow cooker/crock pot and cook on high for 1 hour, then reduce heat to low and cook for 3 - 5 hours, adding reserved liquid from baked beans as needed.
