Bulgogi - Korean Steak

This is an Americanized recipe for the Korean classic.

Serves: 4


1 to 1 1/2 Pounds steak
5 Tbs Sugar
1 Tbs Garlic Powder
1 Tbs Garlic Salt
2 Tbs Sesame Seeds
2 Tbs Sesame Oil
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
5 Tbs Mirin (Mirin is available in larger mega marts in the same area as oriental sauces)
1 Lb Sliced Carrots

Slice steak thin against the grain
Mix everything but carrots and stick in fridge for 1 to 4 hours
Cook to just below desired doneness, add carrots till desired serve immiediately over rice.
Note that you must serve this immiediately, once it cools the meat will get tough. You can add green onions with the carrots if you wish.
