Pork Chops in Wine sauce

4 pork chops (bone in or boneless is fine)
minced garlic to taste
salt and pepper to taste
10 oz wine ( I used Merlot because it's what I had, I think Chardonnay would have been better)
2 cans cream of chicken soup (cream of celery or mushroom works as well)
Chopped veggies. I used 1 pepper and 2 celery stalks. Can also put onion slivers and fresh sliced mushrooms
Crushed red pepper if desired


Pre-heat oven to 350

Season pork chops with salt, pepper and minced garlic, place in skillet and brown

Put two can of cream of chicken soup into large baking pan, mix with wine, chopped veggies, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper

Place browned pork chops into baking pan and place in oven

Bake for 1 hour

Serve over rice ( I use brown rice cooked in chicken broth)

If sauce is too thin for your taste use some flour to thicken it. I'm still experimenting with the proper amount of wine to use.
