Difficulty: Easy - for beginners
1 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 lb. Bulk Sausage
1/3 C. Minced Onion
2T. Unseasoned Bread crumbs
1 Egg beaten
1 14.5 oz. can Beef Broth
1 6oz. can Tomato Paste
1/4 t. Salt
1/2 t. Pepper
1 t. Garlic Powder
1 t. Dried Basil
Sandwich Size French Rolls
Sliced Fresh Mozzarella
Mix together the first 6 ingredients.
Shape into 1 1/2" meatballs
Spray skillet with cooking spray and brown the meatballs over Med/ High Heat.
Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 min. or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked.
Slice open Sandwich size French rolls and put a few slices of Mozzarella on.
Broil until cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
Put 3-4 meatballs on each sandwich and enjoy...
These are great with a little mayo on them...
Call me crazy but, mayo and sliced dill pickles are even better...
