K-A's Italian-style burgers

Homemade hamburgers made with ricotta cheese, parsley and pine nuts.

Serves: 4


Ground beef (400 g)
Bread crumbs (about 4 tablespoons)
1 egg
Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
Italian flat-leaf parsley (handful finely chopped)
Toasted pine nuts (leave whole) (handful)
Fresh Ricotta cheese (100 g)
Worcestershire [ˈwʊs.təˌʃə] sauce (3 tsp)
Finely chopped red onion (1/2 small)


Mix all the ingredients together, season, shape into 4 burgers, cook them they way you prefer to eat your burger (I usually do not cook mine all the way through, but I know a lot of people prefer their burgers well done).
